On track to Chebika
Chebika, on the edge of the Saharan Atlas Mountains overlooking the Chott el-Gharsa, can only be reached by 4x4 vehicles up a spine-jarring, dusty track. The old village was abandoned in 1969 after devastating floods, and has been replaced by a newer settlement.
